East Valley Community Health Center a Federally Qualified Health Center based in the East San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated, healthcare experienced individual to fill the position of the Controller.
The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, preparing the monthly financial statements as well as periodic reports and reconciliations to the HRSA; Medi-Cal and Medicare. Being the primary liaison with independent and governmental auditors is a major responsibility of this position. The position serves as the fiscal liaison with funding agencies, vendors and other entities.
The successful applicant will have at least, five years community health center accounting experience and familiarity with MAS 90; knowledge of managed care and understanding of public contracts and grants. A degree in Accounting is required. Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure is necessary. Must have good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
